About Us
As the founder and director of Clear Choice Medical Legal Consulting, LLC, Cynthia Russo RN BSN CRNA CLNC EJD, has been a legal nurse consultant specializing in medical legal cases for 19 years; bringing 30 years combined critical care and anesthesia experience, as well as 30 years of Open Heart/Cardiac Anesthesia experience to the legal community.
Being credentialed as an advanced practice Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), I bring a more in-depth understanding of all areas of medicine than a registered nurse specializing in one specific area of health care. CRNA’s are well versed in every aspect of critical care medicine; including but not limited to Trauma, Neurological, Cardiac, Thoracic, Pediatric, Obstetric and Surgical cases.
Adding to my clinical experience, I have also been a clinical and didactic instructor for a university-based nurse anesthesia program. My years of experience in teaching have allowed me to demonstrate in-depth knowledge concerning anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and pharmacology. Having spent a multitude of days instructing in a classroom setting I bring a unique ability to convert complex medical topics into easily understandable concepts. Combined teaching experience and medical literature research experience allows me to provide attorneys with the most up to date and accurate information required for successful litigation of any medical related case.
I received my Certification as a Legal Nurse Consultant from the National Alliance of Legal Nurse Consultants. In advancement of my education, I received an Executive Juris Doctorate Degree from Concord Law School with a specialization in Health Law. I am well versed in the topics of Torts, Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury, Health Law, Products Liability, Medical Product Liability, Toxic Tort and Legal Research. By utilizing these principles, I can anticipate your needs as a litigator, saving you time and money. With my experience in health care, medical record review and knowledge of the legal system; I am better equipped than many Legal Nurse Consultants to recognize important facts and/or irregularities in the medical record. I am also better equipped to assist you with finding or disproving causation which is an essential element of a winning case for an attorney. Having both plaintiff and defense experience gives me insight into what information is of most importance to the opposing council, which allows me to prepare the attorney client for potential pitfalls in the case.
I have been honored by the International Nurses Association as a Worldwide Leader in Healthcare. I am associated with multiple organizations including the; American Nursing Association, International Nurses Association, American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, and National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants.
